Matt Green

Matthew James Green is a versatile talent in the entertainment industry, recognized as a comedian, actor, writer, and director. He pursued his education at the prestigious University of Cambridge, where he studied English at Christ's College and graduated in 2000. During his time there, he was an active member of the renowned Footlights, sharing the stage with notable figures like Richard Ayoade, John Oliver, and John Finnemore, eventually serving as president in his final year.

Following his graduation, Green continued his involvement with the Footlights by directing their year-end tour while also dabbling in screenwriting. He officially launched his stand-up comedy career in 2003, and by 2005, he had secured second place at the Hackney Empire New Act of the Year competition. That same year, he showcased his comedic talent at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in The Comedy Zone, alongside emerging stars such as Isy Suttie and Russell Kane.

Green's television credits are extensive, with roles in popular series including Fresh Meat, Cradle to Grave, and Casualty. He made memorable appearances in shows like Extras, EastEnders, and the cult classic Garth Marenghi's Darkplace. One of his notable performances was as a BBC Newsreader in the Doctor Who episode "The Star Beast." In film, he has been featured in productions such as Finding Neverland and Ali G Indahouse, solidifying his reputation in the industry.
