Michael Bland

Michael Bland, born on March 14, 1969, is a renowned drummer celebrated for his tenure with Prince, beginning in 1989. He was an integral part of The New Power Generation, contributing to both live performances and recordings throughout a dynamic seven-year collaboration with the legendary artist.

During the years 1995 to 1997, Bland expanded his musical horizons by joining forces with French pop sensation France Gall. This collaboration resulted in the recording of one studio album and two live albums, showcasing his versatility and talent beyond the realm of funk and pop.

In 2010, Bland further diversified his career by joining Nick Jonas and the Administration, a side project led by Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers. This group also featured notable alumni from The New Power Generation, including bassist Sonny T. and keyboardist Tommy Barbarella, allowing Bland to reunite with familiar musical companions while exploring new creative avenues.
