Kōsei Ono
Kōsei Ono is a prominent figure in the realm of Japanese media, renowned for his contributions as a film critic, cartoon analyst, comic translator, and researcher specializing in international comics and animation. Recognized as a foremost expert on the dissemination, research, and promotion of foreign comics, or gaikoku manga, in Japan, Ono has significantly influenced the comic landscape in the country.
His career began with a tenure at NHK, where he worked from 1963 until 1974, laying the groundwork for his future endeavors in the field. Currently, he shares his expertise as a visiting professor in the Asia Department at Kokushikan University.
