Dave Roberts

David Ray Roberts, commonly known as "Doc," was born on May 31, 1972. He is a prominent figure in professional baseball, serving as the manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers in Major League Baseball (MLB). Before transitioning into management, Roberts had a decade-long career as an outfielder, representing five different MLB teams. Notably, during his brief tenure with the Boston Red Sox in 2004, he made history by stealing second base in the American League Championship Series, a pivotal moment that helped propel the team to their first championship in 86 years during the World Series.

After his playing days, Roberts took on a coaching role with the San Diego Padres, which paved the way for his appointment as the Dodgers' manager in 2016. Under his leadership, the team achieved significant success, clinching the National League pennant in 2017 and reaching the World Series in 2017, 2018, 2020, and 2024. The Dodgers secured the championship title in both 2020 and 2024, marking a major milestone in Roberts’ career.
