Born Thierry Moutoussamy on 23 December 1972 in Paris, France, Lord Kossity is a French musician of Martinican heritage. When he was 11, his family relocated to the French Antilles, where he would later launch his music career. In the 1990s, he began performing alongside his cousin, Dr G-Kill, as part of the group Contrast.

As the decade progressed, Lord Kossity pioneered a distinctive fusion of ragga and zouk, a sound that would come to define his work. His innovative style led to collaborations with some of the biggest names in music, including Suprême N.T.M., Vybz Kartel, Shaggy, Bounty Killer, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, and Elephant Man.

Throughout his career, Lord Kossity has released a series of albums that have solidified his reputation as a key figure in the French Caribbean music scene. His ability to bridge genres and cultures has made him a unique voice in the industry, blending the rhythms of the islands with the energy of international dancehall and hip-hop.
