Doria Achour
Doria Achour was born on March 1, 1991, into a family immersed in the arts, with her father being a director and her mother a playwright. Growing up, she frequently accompanied her parents to rehearsals and theatrical performances, which profoundly influenced her creative journey. However, she ultimately gravitated towards film rather than theater. Her acting career commenced at the tender age of 9, when her mother discovered a casting call. This opportunity led her to portray the daughter of actors Sergi Lopez and Sylvie Testud in the film *Les femmes ou les enfants d’abord* (2001).
Following this debut, Doria honed her craft through theater courses and joined a talent agency specializing in young performers. She made several appearances in films over the years, including *L’école pour tous* and *L’annuaire*. After pausing her acting career to focus on her studies, she pursued her passion for literature, completing a hypokhâgne and khâgne, ultimately earning a degree in modern literature, alongside a master's degree in cinema from Sorbonne University.
Doria made her return to the screen in 2012, landing the lead role in *La Fille publique*. Though the film did not achieve widespread success, her compelling performance caught the eye of director Sylvie Ohayon, who cast her in *Papa was not a Rolling Stone* (2014), which garnered her significant recognition. She later appeared in *Tunis blues*, and her desire to direct led her to create a short film about post-revolution Tunisia titled *Laisse-moi finir*.
