Yasmin Bannerman, born in 1970, is a talented English actress renowned for her diverse roles across television and film. Raised in Gloucestershire, she honed her craft at Rose Bruford College in London, graduating in 1993. Bannerman's career took off with her debut television appearance in 1995 on an episode of "Crown Prosecutor." She soon became well-known for her portrayal of Maddie Parker in the popular Channel 4 soap opera "Hollyoaks," where she described her character as "demanding," although her screen time diminished over the years.

Her versatility shines through in various productions, including a notable guest role in the cult classic "Red Dwarf" and a recurring character, Jessica Barnes, in the acclaimed series "Cold Feet." In 2005, she made a memorable appearance as Jabe, an alien resembling a tree, in the second episode of the revived "Doctor Who."
