Rodney El Haddad
Rodney El Haddad is a distinguished Lebanese actor, screenwriter, and director whose career spans both theater and film. Born in Lebanon, he graduated from the Lebanese University with a degree in Dramatic Arts in 2000. El Haddad made his film debut in 2005 with “Bosta l'autobus (Bosta),” after establishing himself on stage with notable performances, including “Charbel” by Raymond Gébara.
His talent was recognized early on when he won the Qamar d'Or for Best Male Performance in 2000 for his role in the short film “Une musique sur la lune.” In addition to acting, El Haddad has contributed significantly to the writing of screenplays, co-writing the acclaimed film “Caramel” (2007) directed by Nadine Labaki. His dedication to storytelling extends to theater, where he has penned and directed two plays.
Currently, El Haddad is working on a new feature film script with Labaki and is set to appear in the upcoming film “Chambres d’hôtel” directed by Danielle Arbid. He has also recently completed his first poetry collection, showcasing his versatility as a creative artist.
