Corey Todd Taylor, born on December 8, 1973, is an iconic American musician recognized primarily as the lead vocalist and lyricist for the heavy metal bands Slipknot and Stone Sour. Raised by a single mother, Taylor's early exposure to classic rock, thanks to his grandmother, ignited his passion for music. He met his father for the first time on March 28, 2005, and the pair has since fostered a meaningful relationship. Taylor balances his personal life with two children and a marriage, alongside an ex-wife. Achieving sobriety before the release of Stone Sour's album *Come What(ever) May*, he has navigated his career with resilience.

As a founding member of Stone Sour, Taylor has contributed to three studio albums. He joined Slipknot in 1997, stepping in for the original vocalist Anders Colsefni, and has since helped produce four studio albums with the band. Notably, after the release of *Iowa* in 2001, he returned to Stone Sour for further projects. In addition to his main bands, Taylor has collaborated with a variety of artists, including Apocalyptica, Anthrax, Soulfly, and Avenged Sevenfold, showcasing his versatility across genres. His talent earned him the distinction of being ranked 86th in Hit Parader's list of the Top 100 Metal Vocalists of All Time, solidifying his status in the music industry.
