Ina Marija Bartaitė
Ina Marija Bartaitė (May 2, 1996 – April 7, 2021) was a promising Lithuanian actress whose talent shone in notable films such as *Peace to Us in Our Dreams* and *Seneca's Day*. Born into an artistic family as the daughter of renowned filmmaker Šarūnas Bartas, she was immersed in the world of cinema from a young age. Bartaitė made her acting debut in the anthology film *Visions of Europe*, appearing in her father's segment titled "Children Lose Nothing."
Her performance in *Peace to Us in Our Dreams* earned her a nomination for Best Lithuanian Actress at the 2016 Vilnius International Film Festival Kino pavasaris, marking a significant milestone in her burgeoning career. Bartaitė also showcased her versatility in *Walden*, a film by Bojena Horackova, where she portrayed Jana, a young woman returning to Vilnius after years in Paris, seeking a connection to her past.
After completing her secondary education in Vilnius, Bartaitė pursued French Philology at Vilnius University and later studied acting in Paris. Despite her father's influence, she initially hadn't envisioned a career in acting until he encouraged her to participate in his film, leading her to embrace the profession. Tragically, Bartaitė's life was cut short at the age of 24 due to a traffic accident on April 7, 2021, leaving behind a legacy of talent and promise. She is remembered not only for her performances but also for her deep familial bonds, having cared for her ailing grandmother in Valakampiai at the time of her passing.
