Elijah Canlas
Elijah Luiz Madiclum Canlas is a talented Filipino actor known for his work across television, film, and theater, as well as his role as a commercial model. His breakthrough came with the critically acclaimed film *Kalel, 15*, where he played the title role, leading to a surge in his acting opportunities. The film not only earned its director, Jun Robles Lana, the Best Director award at the Tallinn International Film Festival in Estonia but also marked a significant milestone for Elijah, who received his first Best Actor accolade at the 17th Asian Film Festival in Rome, Italy.
In May 2020, Elijah gained further recognition as one of the stars of the YouTube series *Gameboys*, produced by The IdeaFirst Company. This boys love (BL) series resonated with audiences as it depicted the blossoming relationship between two young men navigating the challenges of connecting online during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Born into a family of performers, Elijah is the second of three siblings, affectionately called Jelo by his older brother Jerom and younger brother JM, both of whom are also actors. Their mother, a theater actress from Bacolod, instilled in them a passion for the performing arts from an early age, nurturing their talents in film, theater, and television.
