Kyle Phillips

Kyle Phillips is a prominent American voice actor and anime voice director, celebrated for his diverse roles, particularly as Denki Kaminari in the acclaimed series My Hero Academia.

Phillips began his professional journey as an ADR Engineer, contributing to significant anime productions such as One Piece, xxxHolic, and Fairy Tail. His passion for voice acting soon led him to take on minor roles, which rapidly evolved into substantial parts within the industry. His impressive resume includes notable characters like Jason the reporter in Fairy Tail, Marco the Phoenix in One Piece, Genshiro Saji in High School DxD, and Sosuke Sugaya in Assassination Classroom.

In 2013, he transitioned from ADR Engineering to voice directing, a move that showcased his exceptional talents. Initially serving as an assistant director under Tyler Walker, Phillips eventually took the reins himself, launching his directorial career with the series Ultimate Otaku Teacher.

Since 2015, he has been at the helm of English dubs for numerous FUNimation projects, directing popular titles such as Overlord (seasons 1-3), Dagashi Kashi (seasons 1 and 2), Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, Ace Attorney (seasons 1 and 2), and Izetta (seasons 1 and 2).

Phillips' most significant achievement to date is his leading role as Suigin Riku in the beloved multi-season series The Silver Guardian. Recently, he reprised his role as Denki Kaminari in both the ongoing My Hero Academia series and the film My Hero Academia: Two Heroes, solidifying his status in the anime community.
