Richard Dunn (December 18, 1935 – June 4, 2010) was a distinguished American character actor celebrated for his unique contributions to the world of sketch comedy, particularly through his work on "Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!" Dunn captivated audiences with his eccentric portrayals and distinctive glasses, standing 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 125 pounds.

His journey into the entertainment industry began with a serendipitous connection to producer Robert Marcus, for whom he initially worked as a production assistant. This experience sparked his passion for acting, leading him to take classes and gradually transition from background roles to more prominent appearances. Dunn's early career included notable roles in popular television series such as "House," "Parks and Recreation," "Weeds," and "Nip/Tuck," alongside a memorable part in the 1998 film "The Wedding Singer." He even made an appearance in Diddy's music video for the hit "Bad Boy for Life."

Dunn's big break came when Tim Heidecker approached him in a parking lot, offering him a role as Tim's father in the pilot episode of "Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!" This opportunity launched him into a prominent position within the Tim and Eric franchise, where he remained a beloved figure until his passing. His legacy continued posthumously, as he was honored in the spin-off "Check It Out! with Dr. Steve Brule" and through a tribute song titled "Richard Dunn is Done" by David Liebe Hart on his album "Mixtape."
