Morgan Stevens was born on October 16, 1951, in Knoxville, Tennessee. After completing his college education, he ventured into Hollywood, quickly making a name for himself in the entertainment industry. One of his early notable roles was as Paul Northridge in the beloved series The Waltons, where he not only appeared in a memorable episode but also featured in three reunion films, including A Wedding on Walton’s Mountain, where his character wed Erin Walton, portrayed by Mary Elizabeth McDonough.

Stevens gained significant recognition for his portrayal of teacher David Reardon on the acclaimed series Fame, where he appeared for two seasons. He contributed to 20 episodes during the second season and even penned an episode titled "Catch A Falling Star" for the show's third season. In addition to his work on Fame, Stevens made guest appearances on popular shows such as The Love Boat, The Return of Marcus Welby M.D., Airwolf, and the original Magnum P.I., as well as co-starring in the TV movie Roses are for the Rich.

In August 1989, Stevens' career faced a setback following a minor car accident that resulted in a wrongful arrest and a brutal beating by the LAPD, causing serious injuries. After being cleared of DUI charges, he settled his case against the police department.

Making a comeback in 1992, Stevens took on the role of Nick Diamond in seven episodes of the hit series Melrose Place. However, his acting opportunities dwindled over the years, with his final appearance in 1999 on Walker, Texas Ranger.
