Kristin Dawn Chenoweth, born Kristi Dawn Chenoweth on July 24, 1968, is a celebrated American actress and singer renowned for her work in musical theatre, film, and television. She achieved Broadway fame in 1999 when she won a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for her role as Sally Brown in *You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown*. In 2003, she garnered a second Tony nomination for originating the role of Glinda in the blockbuster musical *Wicked*.

Chenoweth's television career includes notable roles such as Annabeth Schott in NBC’s *The West Wing* and Olive Snook in the ABC series *Pushing Daisies*, where she won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series in 2009. She also featured in the ABC sitcom *GCB* in 2012, portrayed Lavinia in *Trial & Error* (2018), and appeared as the antagonist Mildred Layton in the Apple TV+ musical comedy *Schmigadoon!* (2021).

Raised in Oklahoma, Chenoweth initially sang gospel music and studied opera before venturing into musical theatre. She debuted on Broadway in *Steel Pier* (1997), earning a Theatre World Award, and continued to impress with roles in *The Apple Tree*, *Promises, Promises*, and *On the Twentieth Century*, earning her another Tony nomination.
