Haris Alexiou
Haris Alexiou (Greek: Χάρις Αλεξίου), born on December 27, 1950, in Thebes, Greece, as Hariklia Roupaka (Χαρίκλεια Ρουπάκα), is a celebrated Greek singer renowned for her significant impact on the music scene since the 1970s. With a career spanning over five decades, she has collaborated with some of Greece's most esteemed songwriters and composers and has performed in prestigious theaters across the globe.
Alexiou has an impressive discography, featuring more than thirty albums, with eight of her solo releases achieving sales exceeding 1.5 million copies—a remarkable feat that makes her the only female Greek artist to reach such heights. Her music resonates with audiences worldwide, from Greece to Australia, and from the Americas to Japan, as she brings the essence of Greek songs and culture to life.
