Evan Boymel
Evan Boymel, hailing from Cincinnati, Ohio, embarked on his artistic journey at the tender age of four when he first took to the stage. This early exposure ignited a lifelong passion for performance, leading him to participate in summer workshops and local productions while eagerly absorbing knowledge from seasoned mentors.
After graduating high school, Evan ventured to London, where he honed his craft at the Strasberg Method Studio. Under the guidance of distinguished instructors like Mariana Hill (notable for her role in The Godfather Part II) and RSC-trained Stephen Lee, he underwent rigorous training that significantly shaped his acting prowess.
Upon returning to the United States, Evan pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Emerson College in Boston, where he further expanded his theatrical abilities and mastered a diverse array of accents and character portrayals. However, a shift in focus led him to switch his major to Broadcast Journalism, which he completed in Cincinnati. He subsequently worked as a news reporter for WB64 News at Ten, where he gained valuable experience in the field.
Evan's passion for acting resurfaced when he landed a role as a news reporter in the independent film "Kiss of the Vampire." This film proved pivotal, as it introduced him to future collaborators, including Vincent Jolivette of Rabbit Bandini Productions and filmmakers Julie and Joe Ruggieri. He quickly ascended to the role of Executive Producer for "In Search of Ted Demme" before relocating to Los Angeles.
In recent years, Evan has participated in various pilots and indie films, including "Joy," "Salesgirl," "The Last Act," "The Cellar," and "Persons of Interest." With an exciting lineup of projects ahead, including a role in David Duchovny's film "Goats," Evan anticipates that the year 2011 will be a defining moment in his career.
