Kal Sabir

Kal Sabir is a talented actor of South Asian descent, hailing from Glasgow, Scotland. His journey into the world of performing arts began unexpectedly; he initially pursued a degree in Computer Science at the University of Strathclyde, with the intention of having a secure backup plan should acting not pan out.

Kal has made notable appearances in several films, including Gran Turismo (2023), Mary Queen of Scots (2018), and Bellbottom (2021). His television work features roles in Armchair Detectives (2017) and a brief stint in the first season of Slow Horses (2022), along with a promising new series set to debut on Netflix.

Beyond acting, Kal is also a burgeoning writer and director, showcasing his creativity through his film production company, Restless Chimp. His dedication to storytelling was recognized in 2024 when he received a short film commission from the National Theatre of Scotland. This project, titled Kinaara, delves into the pressing issues surrounding dementia care within the South Asian community, highlighting his commitment to addressing meaningful and relevant topics through his art. With a diverse skill set and a passion for performance, Kal Sabir is steadily carving out a significant presence in the entertainment industry.
