Raaj Kumar

Raaj Kumar, originally named Kulbhushan Pandit, was born in Loralai, Baluchistan, British India (now part of Balochistan, Pakistan). Before making his mark in the film industry, he served as a sub-inspector with the Bombay Police. His cinematic journey began with the film *Rangeeli* in 1952, marking the start of a remarkable career.

Over the years, Raaj Kumar became renowned for his compelling performances and distinctive acting style. He starred in several iconic films that have left a lasting impact on Indian cinema. Among his most celebrated works are *Mother India* (1957), which is often regarded as a classic, *Waqt* (1965), a pioneering multi-starrer, and the visually stunning *Pakeezah* (1972).
