Kim Tae-hyung, widely recognized as V, was born on December 30, 1995, in South Korea. He is a multifaceted talent—singer, songwriter, record producer, and actor—affiliated with BigHit Music and is a prominent member of the globally acclaimed boy band BTS.
V has made significant contributions to BTS's musical repertoire, bringing his unique artistry to several solo tracks, including "Stigma" (2016), "Singularity" (2018), and "Inner Child" (2020), all of which achieved chart success on South Korea's Gaon Digital Chart. In 2019, he showcased his songwriting skills with two self-penned digital singles, "Scenery" and "Winter Bear." His solo journey took a major step forward in 2023 when V released his debut singles "Love Me Again" and "Rainy Days," followed by his first solo album, *Layover*, on September 8, which featured the single "Slow Dancing."
Beyond his music career, V expanded his artistic horizons with an acting role in the 2016 drama *Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth*, where he also contributed the track "It's Definitely You" to the show's soundtrack. In recognition of his impact on Korean culture, he and his BTS bandmates were honored in 2018 with the fifth-class Hwagwan Order of Cultural Merit by the President of South Korea.
