Callum Wilson

Callum Wilson, now 29, began his professional journey with his local team, Coventry City. He advanced through their youth academy, subsequently gaining valuable experience through loan spells at Kettering and Tamworth. Wilson made a significant impact at Coventry, netting 23 goals in 55 appearances for the first team.

In 2014, Wilson made the move to AFC Bournemouth, where he played a pivotal role in the club's promotion to the Premier League during his inaugural season. He found the back of the net 20 times in 45 Championship matches, quickly establishing himself as a key player for the Cherries in the top tier of English football.

Wilson's impressive performances on the pitch earned him his first international cap in November 2018, where he scored during his debut for England against the United States at Wembley Stadium.

In the 2020-21 season, after transferring to Newcastle United, Wilson emerged as the team's leading scorer, contributing 12 goals in 28 appearances, helping the Magpies secure a respectable 12th place in the Premier League. His goal-scoring prowess and dedication were recognized ahead of the 2021-22 season when he was awarded the prestigious number nine shirt, a symbol of his importance to the club.
