Stephen Shortridge

Stephen Shortridge, originally from Iowa and later raised in Southern California, has made a distinctive mark in the world of art and acting. He demonstrated a passion for art early on, focusing primarily on commercial art during his education. His artistic journey took a significant turn while studying at Idaho State University, where he was also an All-American water polo player. It was here that he enrolled in his first painting class, igniting a profound love for creative expression.

While Stephen enjoyed his ventures in acting, he found painting to be far more fulfilling, relishing the freedom it provides to explore his creativity. His artistic style is heavily influenced by the French Impressionists, particularly Monet, yet he has carved out his own niche as an American Romantic Impressionist, characterized by vibrant colors and dynamic brushwork. His artwork has attracted a diverse group of collectors, including celebrities like Patty Duke, Donna Summer, and Rick Dees. Stephen also showcased his work alongside fellow actor and artist Peter Falk during his time in Los Angeles.

In addition to his art, Stephen has an extensive resume in acting, having appeared in over 50 commercials throughout a 15-year span. His notable appearances include campaigns for well-known brands such as Mennen, Speedstick, Coca-Cola, Certs, and Head & Shoulders. Currently, he resides in Idaho with his family, continuing to pursue his passion for art and creativity.
