Parviz Pourhosseini (Persian: پرویز پورحسینی,‎ September 11, 1941 – November 27, 2020) was a distinguished Iranian actor celebrated for his contributions to film, theater, and television. He passed away at the age of 79 due to complications from COVID-19 at Firoozgar Hospital in Tehran. Pourhosseini earned acclaim for his memorable performances in notable films such as *Bashu, the Little Stranger* (1989), *The Fifth Season* (1997), and *Saint Mary* (1997). His filmography also includes impactful roles in *The Man Who Became a Mouse* (1985), *The Night it Happened* (1988), *Angel Day* (1993), and *Leila's Sleep* (2007).

He attained a bachelor's degree in performance arts from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Tehran University. In 1961, he collaborated with director Hamid Samandarian and other artists to establish the Pasargad acting troupe, marking the beginning of his illustrious career. Over the years, Pourhosseini showcased his versatility and passion, appearing in more than 35 films, over 70 television series, and 60 theater productions. His extensive body of work and dedication to the arts have left a lasting legacy in Iranian cinema and theater, making him a beloved figure in the cultural landscape of Iran.
