Magda Apanowicz, born on November 8, 1985, is a talented Canadian actress recognized for her compelling performances in television. She gained prominence for her portrayal of Andy Jensen in the series *Kyle XY* and later as Lacy Rand in *Caprica*.

Of Polish heritage, Apanowicz spent part of her adolescence in Poland during her ninth-grade year. Her passion for acting ignited at the age of 10, spurred by her brother's introduction to the film *Pulp Fiction*. She went on to hone her skills at the Vancouver Film School.

Apanowicz embarked on her acting journey in 2002 with minor roles in the TV series *Jeremiah* and *John Doe*. Her breakthrough came between 2007 and 2009 when she captivated audiences as Andy Jensen on *Kyle XY*. In 2008, she starred in the Hallmark Channel's original film *Every Second Counts*.

In 2009, she took on a significant role as Lacy Rand in the sci-fi drama *Caprica*, which featured Eric Stoltz. Following this, she appeared in *Hellcats* and guest-starred in the online romantic comedy series *Husbands* in 2012. Apanowicz continued to showcase her versatility with a role as Emily in the critically acclaimed series *Continuum*, which began in 2013.
