Claire Lovering
Claire Lovering is an acclaimed Australian actress celebrated for her versatile performances across film, television, and theatre. Born and raised in Fremantle, Western Australia, she honed her craft at the esteemed Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA).
Recently, Claire captivated audiences in the Amazon MGM film *PLAY DIRTY*, where she shares the screen with Mark Wahlberg and LaKeith Stanfield, directed by Shane Black. She also completed filming for *THE SEASON*, a Hulu series by the creators of *Crazy Rich Asians*. Throughout her career, Claire has taken on notable roles, including Gert in the AACTA-nominated comedy series *GOLD DIGGERS* (ABC/CBS) and a member of the ensemble cast of Amazon's *CLASS OF '07*, for which she earned an Equity Award nomination. Her other significant television appearances include the BBC/ABC comedy series *AUSTIN*, Netflix’s *NORTH SHORE*, and *Wellmania*, as well as Stan’s *C*A*U*G*H*T* alongside Sean Penn, and *WOLF LIKE ME* with Josh Gad and Isla Fisher. She also featured in the blockbuster *SAN ANDREAS* with Dwayne Johnson.
Claire's theatrical roots are deep, with performances at Australia’s leading theatre companies, such as the Sydney Theatre Company and Melbourne Theatre Company. Her self-written one-woman show, *River*, was met with critical acclaim, winning the ANZ Blue Room Theatre Award. Additionally, she received the Mike Walsh Fellowship, which allowed her to study Method Acting at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in New York. Claire's breakout role in *The Feather in the Web* earned her the 2018 Sydney Theatre Award for Best Female Actor in a Leading Role. A talented voice artist, she also narrates audiobooks and lends her voice to campaigns for major brands like Qantas and Google.
