Hailing from Kraków, Gierszał comes from a family immersed in the arts; his father, Marek, is a theater director who has primarily worked in Germany. At just a few months old, the family relocated to Hamburg, where they lived for over a decade. Gierszał eventually moved back to Poland, settling in Toruń, where he pursued his passion for acting.
