Bailey gained significant recognition as a member of The Angels, a band he joined in 1976. His time with The Angels spanned until 1982, and he later rejoined the group from 2008 until his passing in 2013, showcasing his enduring influence in the music industry. Additionally, he was instrumental in the formation of Gang Gajang, where he played from 1984 until 2013, further solidifying his status as a versatile artist. His involvement with The Stetsons, although brief, highlighted his adaptability and commitment to diverse musical styles.
