Paul Cronin

Paul Cronin (8 July 1938 – 13 September 2019) was a prominent Australian television actor known for his compelling performances in several iconic series. Born in Australia, Cronin eventually relocated to Melbourne, where he explored various career paths before fully committing to acting. His journey in the entertainment industry began with roles in a range of Crawford Productions, including notable series like Division 4 and Homicide.

Cronin's career reached new heights when he portrayed the character of motorcycle policeman Gary Hogan in the beloved series Matlock Police, which aired from 1971 to 1976. His portrayal resonated with audiences, leading to his participation in the series' spin-off, Solo One, in 1976. However, it was his role as Dave Sullivan in the widely acclaimed soap opera The Sullivans, which ran from 1976 to 1983, that solidified his status as a household name in Australian television.
