Ned Schmidtke

Ned Schmidtke, originally named Edwin Christian Schmidtke, Jr., was born in St. Louis, Missouri. He completed his early education at David H. Hickman High School in Columbia before pursuing higher education at Beloit College in Wisconsin, graduating in 1964.

Schmidtke embarked on his acting journey with a notable recurring role as Greg Barnard in the soap opera *Another World*. His television career flourished with appearances in acclaimed series such as *The West Wing*, where he shared the screen with Devika Parikh and Peter James Smith, and *NYPD Blue*, featuring alongside Currie Graham. He also made guest appearances in popular shows like *NCIS* (with Pauley Perrette), *The Unit* (with Dennis Haysbert), and *Heroes* (with Zachary Quinto).
