Brian Hook

Brian H. Hook, born in 1968, is a distinguished American diplomat, attorney, and government official. In 2021, he took on the role of vice chairman for global investments at Cerberus Capital Management, where he leverages his extensive experience in international relations and policy. Additionally, Hook shares his expertise as an adjunct professor at the Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University.

Hook’s career in diplomacy reached a significant milestone when he served as the U.S. Special Representative for Iran and Senior Policy Advisor to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo from September 2018 to August 2020. In this capacity, he played a pivotal role in shaping U.S. foreign policy towards Iran, navigating complex geopolitical challenges.
