Rossy de Palma, often likened to a living Picasso, revolutionized the concept of beauty when she made her film debut in Pedro Almodóvar's 1988 classic, *Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown*. This role launched her into the limelight, earning her recognition as a model and muse for renowned designers such as Jean-Paul Gaultier, Thierry Mugler, and Sybilla. Her iconic status in the fashion world was solidified with her appearance in Robert Altman’s 1994 satirical film, *Prêt-à-Porter*.

Born in Palma de Mallorca, she initially pursued a career as a singer and dancer with the band Peor Imposible. Her unique, artistic look caught the eye of Almodóvar in 1986 at a café in Madrid, leading to a series of roles that showcased her distinct presence in films like *La ley del deseo*, *Kika*, and *La flor de mi secreto*.

In addition to her film work, Rossy is an accomplished theater actress and a dedicated charity advocate for OrphanAid Africa, a Ghanaian organization. She also models and has launched a perfume line with Etat libre d'Orange in 2007. Notably, in 2009, she posed nude for a breast cancer awareness campaign in *Marie Claire*. Currently residing in France with her two sons, she was honored to serve on the jury for the main competition at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival.
