Pati Jinich, a vibrant culinary personality, hails from Mexico City, where her passion for food began. She is the acclaimed host of the PBS series “Pati’s Mexican Table,” which has garnered three James Beard Awards, as well as the thought-provoking docuseries “La Frontera.” Pati also serves as the resident chef at the Mexican Cultural Institute in Washington, D.C., where she shares her expertise and love for Mexican cuisine. Transitioning from a career as a political analyst, she chose to dedicate herself to exploring and promoting the rich tapestry of Mexico’s culinary traditions.

Pati's impressive career includes the honor of cooking for President Obama during a Cinco de Mayo celebration at the White House, showcasing her ability to bridge cultures through food. In recognition of her efforts to foster U.S.-Mexico relations, she was named one of the “Top 5 Border Ambassadors” by the Council of the Americas in their Americas Quarterly magazine. Additionally, the National Immigration Forum recognized her as one of the “Keepers of the American Dream,” celebrating her contributions to the immigrant community and her embodiment of the spirit of achievement.

Currently residing in the Washington, D.C. area, Pati balances her professional life with family, living with her husband, three sons, and their dog, Mila.
