Trevor Michael Adams (19 May 1946 – 15 December 2000) was a distinguished British actor, celebrated for his memorable role as Tony Webster in the acclaimed BBC series *The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin*, which aired from 1976 to 1979. Adams’ talent and charm also shone through in his guest role as Alan in the beloved *Fawlty Towers* episode "The Wedding Party" in 1975.

Growing up in Harold Hill, Essex, Adams attended Harold Hill Grammar School from 1957 to 1964, where he participated in numerous school productions that showcased his acting abilities. Following his education, he honed his skills at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) and was actively involved with the National Youth Theatre. His early career included a year at Stratford-Upon-Avon, which enriched his theatrical foundation before he transitioned to television, where he often portrayed characters with a criminal edge. His film credits include *Groupie Girl* (1970) and *Private Road* (1971), and he appeared in a variety of popular British television series such as *Public Eye*, *The Professionals*, *Z-Cars*, *The New Avengers*, and *Dixon of Dock Green*.

In 1982, Adams shifted his focus away from acting, relocating to Norwich to pursue a career in law as a solicitor. His new responsibilities precluded him from participating in the 1996 sequel to his most famous show, *The Legacy of Reginald Perrin*. Adams passed away after a prolonged struggle with cancer, leaving behind a legacy of memorable performances.
