Josh Universe
Josh Universe is a prominent American analog astronaut, biohacker, and science communicator, currently studying for a Bachelor’s degree in Astronomy and Astrophysics alongside a Master’s in Commercial Enterprise in Space at the Florida Institute of Technology (FIT). His academic pursuits are complemented by hands-on projects in aerospace technology and space science.
Originally from Kentucky, Josh completed his secondary education at Bullitt East High School before advancing to Jefferson Community and Technical College. His passion for space led him to FIT, where he engages in innovative research and projects within the aerospace sector.
As the founder and CEO of Astrochain, Josh is at the forefront of integrating blockchain technology with astronomy and science communication. Under his leadership, Astrochain has gained recognition as one of the top 100 space companies in the U.S., specializing in decentralized data management systems for the space industry.
In 2023, he established the International Biohacking Community, a platform designed to foster collaboration among researchers in genetic engineering, cognitive enhancement, and longevity. This initiative serves as a hub for biohackers and transhumanists to exchange ideas and advance their fields.
In addition to his entrepreneurial endeavors, Josh is a candidate for astronaut training at the International Institute of Astronautical Sciences (IIAS) through the AST 101 program, participating in mission simulations and spacesuit assessments. Residing in Melbourne, Florida, he remains committed to his academic and professional endeavors, focusing on the intersections of space exploration, biohacking, and health technologies.
