Elena Saurel

Elena Saurel, born in 1987 or 1988, is a talented actress and writer currently residing in London. She has garnered attention for her performances in the ITV2 comedy series Buffering (2021–2023) and the BBC Two drama Industry (2022–present), as well as her upcoming role in We Might Regret This (2024).

Originally from Geneva, Switzerland, Saurel relocated to England at the age of 14, where she attended Bedales School. Her diverse heritage includes Salvadoran and American roots, and she holds both Spanish and American citizenship. To address her struggles with anxiety and dyslexia, her parents enrolled her in acting classes, which ultimately sparked her passion for performing.

Saurel honed her craft at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Institute in New York, completing a one-year program before pursuing higher education. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and Archaeology from SOAS, University of London, where she also engaged in various short films and fringe theater productions, laying the groundwork for her acting career.
