Kalju Orro
Kalju Orro, born on March 27, 1952, in Tartu, Estonia, is a renowned actor celebrated for his contributions to stage, film, and television, as well as an accomplished acting instructor and theatre producer.
Orro's educational journey began in Tartu, where he completed his primary and secondary education and graduated from Tartu 17 Vocational School in 1970. He pursued his passion for acting at the Vanemuine Drama Studios, where he earned his diploma in 1971. Furthering his training, he entered the Performing Arts Department of the Tallinn State Conservatory (now known as the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre) in 1972, studying under the influential actor and pedagogue Voldemar Panso. He graduated in 1976 alongside notable contemporaries such as Merle Karusoo and Peeter Volkonski.
