Scott Barnes
Scott Barnes is a former deep cover operative whose extensive career spanned from the 1970s until his retirement on March 13, 2015. Initially recruited by a CIA-affiliated group while serving in Vietnam in 1973, he began his work with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), targeting radical groups such as the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) and the Weathermen, known for their involvement in university bombings and anti-government activities.
Throughout his career, Barnes participated in over 100 covert operations, many of which were conducted without official sanction from the CIA or DIA. For more than 15 years, he operated under the guise of a "Corrupt Cop," which allowed him to infiltrate actual corrupt law enforcement officers. His training included multiple degrees and rigorous preparation from various U.S. government agencies, including the Department of Defense, Army, DEA, and Treasury.
Barnes was a senior member of the notorious Biker Enforcement Team (BET), a unit within the LAPD’s covert operations. His involvement reached over 34 countries, where he conducted specialized cases, some of which remain classified. He has testified before multiple federal grand juries and congressional committees, including classified sessions in the U.S. “Vault.” As an author, he wrote the book "BOHICA" and is featured in the bestseller "Kiss the Boys Goodbye," along with 24 other investigative texts. His final assignment involved exposing corrupt law enforcement officials across seven states, successfully completed on his last day of service.
