Ricky Williams is a celebrated former American football running back, known for his impactful career spanning 11 seasons in the National Football League (NFL) and a brief stint in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He rose to prominence as a standout player for the Texas Longhorns, earning two All-American honors and clinching the prestigious Heisman Trophy in 1998.

Williams was selected fifth overall by the New Orleans Saints in the 1999 NFL Draft, where he showcased his talent for three seasons before being traded to the Miami Dolphins in 2002. His time with the Dolphins included two productive seasons before he initially retired in 2004. Following a suspension in 2006, he took his skills to the Toronto Argonauts, returning to the NFL in 2007 to rejoin the Dolphins, where he played until 2010. He concluded his playing career with the Baltimore Ravens in 2011.

Beyond his playing days, Williams has contributed to the sport as an assistant coach for the Incarnate Word Cardinals and takes on the role of a football analyst for ESPN's Longhorn Network.
