Brandon Ash-Mohammed

Brandon Ash-Mohammed is a dynamic comedian, writer, and performer known for his sharp wit and engaging storytelling. His career gained momentum when he was recognized as a New Face at the renowned Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal, where he showcased his talent in the Homegrown Comic gala. As a versatile writer, he has contributed to various scripted and reality television shows, but his most notable achievement came in 2022 when he received a Canadian Screen Award for his role as Head Writer for Season 2 of Canada's Drag Race.

In 2018, Brandon launched The Ethnic Rainbow, a groundbreaking comedy show that highlights LGBTQ+ comedians of color, marking a significant milestone in Canadian entertainment. His comedy album, Capricornication, released in 2022, made waves by debuting at #1 on the iTunes Canada Comedy charts, making him the first Gay Black Canadian to reach this landmark. NPR's Bullseye hailed it as one of the best comedy albums of 2020.
