Kristopher Ian Mochrie, born on October 24, 1984, is a notable English actor recognized for his compelling performances on both television and stage. He gained significant attention for his portrayal of Lee Posner in the popular ITV soap opera Emmerdale, as well as for his roles in the BBC drama Ordinary Lies and Channel 4’s Brookside, where he first appeared as Ali Gordon in 2002.

Mochrie's acting journey began at a young age, with his passion for performance ignited at just seven years old. He honed his craft at Manchester School of Acting after studying Business at St Edward's College in Liverpool. His early career saw him in various roles, including guest appearances in Heartbeat (2004), Ideal, Doctors, and Girls in Love (2005), and notable parts in Life on Mars and Waterloo Road (2006). He also played Richard Brandon in The Bill (2007) and had a role in The Royal Today (2008).

After a personal setback, Mochrie made a comeback in 2010 with a role in Emmerdale, followed by portraying D.C. Furber in Coronation Street. His role as Jez in Ordinary Lies (2015) showcased his versatility as an actor. In subsequent years, he appeared in projects like the short film Rapscallions, the television film To Walk Invisible, and The League of Gentlemen. Mochrie returned to Emmerdale in 2019, continuing to build his impressive repertoire with appearances in Rebel Cheer Squad (2022) and the ITV drama Vera (2023).
