Jock Zonfrillo

Barry “Jock” Zonfrillo (August 4, 1976 – April 30, 2023) was a renowned Scottish chef, television personality, and philanthropist, who made his mark in Melbourne, Australia. Zonfrillo was the visionary behind Restaurant Orana in Adelaide, a celebrated establishment that showcased Indigenous Australian ingredients and culinary traditions before its closure. His commitment to promoting native Australian cuisine led him to establish The Orana Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting Indigenous food producers and educating the public about Australia’s rich culinary heritage.

Zonfrillo gained widespread recognition as a judge on the popular cooking competition MasterChef Australia, where he served alongside fellow judges Andy Allen and Melissa Leong. His expertise and passion for food inspired countless contestants and viewers alike, making him a beloved figure in the culinary world.
