Johan Karlberg
Johan Karlberg, a talented actor of Swede-Macanese descent from Macau, gained international recognition for his role as Oleg, the Russian Mafia Boss, in the critically acclaimed film *Last Kung Fu Monk*, released in 2010. He further showcased his acting prowess in 2011 when he portrayed the Nazi Commander Schultz in the Chinese film *The Resistance*, solidifying his reputation in the industry.
Karlberg began his acting career in the early 2000s, steadily building a diverse portfolio. Transitioning into directing in the 2020s, he made his debut with the Blade Runner-inspired film *The Edge of Human*. He continued to expand his directorial ventures with projects like *Return to Earth* and *Macao 2525*. In addition to directing, Karlberg collaborated with Macanese animators Angela Lao and Lucy Iao, lending his voice to various animated films, including *I Love You Puppy* and *Never Fall in Love*, as well as *Andrew’s Parallel World*.
After years of anticipation, Karlberg finally unveiled *Rock N Cop* in 2025, a project that had been in development since 2004. Remarkably, he filmed his scenes for this film at the age of 19, marking a significant milestone in his career.
