Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex
Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, KCVO ADC, born Henry Charles Albert David on September 15, 1984, is a prominent member of the British royal family. As the younger son of Charles, Prince of Wales, and Diana, Princess of Wales, he stands sixth in the line of succession to the throne. On May 19, 2018, he married American actress Meghan Markle, and just hours before their wedding, Queen Elizabeth II bestowed upon him the title of Duke of Sussex. Their first child, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor, was welcomed into the world on May 6, 2019.
In January 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan announced their decision to step back from their roles as senior royals, seeking financial independence while splitting their time between Canada and the UK. This significant move marked a departure from royal life, as Harry also decided to forgo the title of His Royal Highness starting in spring 2020 and stepped down from his role as Captain General of the Royal Marines. Their journey reflects a desire for a more private life and the pursuit of new opportunities outside the royal framework.
