Wes Johnson
Wes Johnson, hailing from Arlington, Virginia, is a versatile talent with a rich background in acting and comedy. He studied under the renowned George Robert Allen and has built a life filled with creativity alongside his high school sweetheart, Kim Barrett, and their three sons.
Beginning his career in stand-up, improvisation, and sketch comedy, Wes has made his mark across various media, including radio, television, film, and video games. One of his notable achievements was co-hosting alongside the legendary Wolfman Jack, where he contributed to sketch comedy on the Wolfman's live radio show during the final two years of the icon’s career. Wes has a knack for parody songs, with several featured nationally on The Doctor Demento Show, and he hosted morning radio shows on WHFS FM and WXTR FM in Washington, D.C.
A founding member of the comedy troupe Gross National Product, Wes showcased his talent for political satire, while his work with Fresh Victims earned him acclaim for his dynamic impressions and creativity, with The Washington Post describing him as "an endless font of inventive energy."
In the realm of video games, Wes is well-known for his voice work in popular franchises, including The Elder Scrolls and Fallout series, as well as voicing characters in World of Warcraft. His writing accolades include awards from the Wisconsin Screenwriters Forum and The America’s Best Screenplay Contest, and he contributed to the Emmy Award-winning show "Crabs" on Maryland Public Television.
Additionally, Wes has been a prominent voice in sports, having served as the last PA announcer for the Washington Bullets and the inaugural PA announcer for the Washington Wizards, as well as the arena voice for the Stanley Cup Champion Washington Capitals since 2000. His talents also extended to cartooning with "Joe Fan" in SportsFan Magazine and "Martini 'N Clyde" in the Washington Times.
