Mostafa Monwar
Mostafa Monwar, born Mostafa Monwar Al-Azim, is a prominent Bangladeshi actor and screenwriter celebrated for his compelling performances in film and television. He gained significant recognition for his role as the lead in the critically acclaimed film *Live from Dhaka*, which earned him the Best Performance award at the 2016 Singapore International Film Festival.
His journey in the film industry began in 2011 with his debut in *Guerrilla*. Monwar further solidified his acting credentials with notable roles in various productions. In 2016, he captivated audiences as Sazzad in *Live from Dhaka*. The following year, he appeared in the television series *Chabial Reunion*. His filmography continued to expand with the release of *Sincerely Yours, Dhaka* in 2018 and the 2019 series *Dhaka Metro* on Hoichoi. That same year, he portrayed Sohel in the film *Made in Bangladesh*.
In 2020, Monwar took on the role of Selim in the Hoichoi series *Ekattor*. He showcased his versatility in July 2021 by playing Arif, Sabila’s husband, in the ZEE5 series *Ladies & Gentleman*, and later appeared as Kabir in the anthology series *Unoloukik*. His performance as an ambulance driver in *No Ground Beneath the Feet* in October 2021 added to his accolades. Additionally, he portrayed Zahir Raihan in the Chorki series *Jaago Bahey*, for which he earned the Channel I Digital Media Award for Best Emerging Actor in 2021. Recently, in June 2023, he starred in the film *Surongo*, further establishing his presence in the industry.
