Yiğit Özşener, born on April 6, 1972, is a prominent Turkish actor known for his diverse roles in television and film. His heritage includes Turkish immigrants from both Kavala, Greece, and Skopje, Macedonia. Özşener completed his education in Electronics and Communications Engineering at Yıldız Technical University in 1996, but his passion for acting led him to study at the Şahika Tekand acting studio. There, he honed his craft by performing in various productions, including Harold Pinter's acclaimed play, The Dumb Waiter.

Özşener first captured the public's eye as "Özgür Çocuk" (Free Child) in a memorable series of commercials for Turkcell, which significantly boosted his popularity. He showcased his acting prowess in the television series Karanlıkta Koşanlar alongside Uğur Yücel, and further solidified his reputation with a role in Üzgünüm Leyla. His film credits include O Şimdi Asker, Gece 11:45, and Beş Vakit. He gained critical acclaim between 2007 and 2009 for portraying Cemil Paşazade in the television adaptation of Reşat Nuri Güntekin's novel Dudaktan Kalbe. Since 2009, he has captivated audiences as Cengiz Atay in the hit series Ezel.
