Pete Wentz
Peter Lewis Kingston Wentz III, born on June 5, 1979, is an influential American musician celebrated primarily as the bassist and lyricist for the rock band Fall Out Boy, a role he has held since the band's inception in 2001. Prior to his success with Fall Out Boy, Wentz was an integral part of Chicago's hardcore music scene, serving as lead singer and songwriter for the metalcore outfit Arma Angelus.
During a break from Fall Out Boy between 2009 and 2012, Wentz explored new musical avenues by forming Black Cards, a group that blended experimental sounds with electropop and dubstep influences. Fall Out Boy made a triumphant return from hiatus in February 2013, subsequently releasing three chart-topping albums: *Save Rock and Roll*, *American Beauty/American Psycho*, and *Mania*. Beyond music, Wentz has made his mark in various fields including writing, acting, and fashion; he launched the clothing brand Clandestine Industries in 2005. Additionally, he hosts the television series *Best Ink* and runs Bartskull Films, a production company. Wentz is also a minority owner of Phoenix Rising FC, a team in the USL Championship. His philanthropic efforts include partnerships with Invisible Children, Inc. and UNICEF’s Tap Project, focusing on providing clean drinking water globally. Renowned for his dynamic stage presence, he has been noted by People magazine for his ability to captivate audiences as a bassist.
