Bob West

Bob West, born on June 25, 1956, is a celebrated American television actor renowned for lending his voice to the beloved character Barney in the iconic children's series, Barney & Friends. His portrayal of Barney has made him the most recognizable voice associated with the character, and he has participated in numerous Barney-related activities, including concert tours and special events.

West's work as Barney extends beyond television; his voice has graced a variety of platforms, including a 70-market radio show, numerous Multi-Platinum and Multi-Gold albums, and feature films. He has also contributed to CBS and NBC primetime specials, represented Barney as a Daytime Emmy presenter, and engaged in promotional activities through toys and educational games. In 2000, West stepped away from the role of Barney, briefly succeeded by Duncan Brannan, who had previously collaborated with him as the voice of Chuck E. Cheese.
