JJ Maley

JJ Maley (they/he/ze) is a multifaceted artist known for their impactful contributions to theater as both a performer and producer. Among their notable acting roles, Maley portrayed Jamie in the critically acclaimed production of “Command Z,” helmed by renowned director Steven Soderbergh. Their impressive credits also include performances in “808,” “Teaching A Robot To Love,” “Love Bomb,” “Becoming Eve,” “They Died of Their Wounds,” and “Esther Updates Her Book.”

As a producer, JJ has played a significant role in some of Broadway's standout works. They were involved in the Tony Award-winning musical “A Strange Loop” and received Tony nominations for “Indecent” and “What the Constitution Means to Me.” Additionally, they contributed to the success of the popular show “Be More Chill.”

Beyond their work in theater, JJ is the Founding Artistic Director of Queer Arts Coalition, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating opportunities and providing resources for artists who identify within the diverse spectrum of the queer community. With a commitment to fostering inclusivity in the arts, Maley continues to make a lasting impact through their creative endeavors and advocacy for marginalized voices in the industry.
