Michał Tarkowski

Michał Tarkowski is a talented Polish actor, screenwriter, and director, recognized for his significant contributions to the arts. He was instrumental in founding the cabaret group Salon Niezależnych alongside Janusz Weiss and Jacek Kleyff. Tarkowski's academic journey began at the Warsaw University of Technology, where he earned a degree in architecture in 1974. He later pursued his passion for filmmaking and graduated from the Directing Department of the Polish National Film School in Łódź in 1979.

In the 1970s, Tarkowski played a pivotal role in establishing the Independent Salon cabaret, which became a notable platform for artistic expression. His career took a prominent turn as he shifted his focus towards film, where he gained acclaim for his performances in iconic movies such as "Man of Marble" and "Wodzirej."
